Femi Adeyeye, Chairman of the Edo 2024 Electoral Committee, reported that the AAC primaries distinguished themselves from others by avoiding the pitfalls experienced by some rival parties. Unlike the APC and PDP, there were no parallel candidates, and the event was not fragmented across different venues. Moreover, the process remained free from the influence of financial improprieties.

Oberiafo Udoh, a seasoned tech and real estate business consultant, emerged as the chosen candidate through a fair and democratic process after contesting against respected party faithful Edith Isokpan. His selection as the flagbearer exemplifies the party’s commitment to presenting an untainted candidate for the September elections.

The AAC party expresses its gratitude to the ratified delegates for their responsible participation in the primaries, contributing to the selection of a candidate who mirrors the party’s values and vision for Edo State. With Udoh at the forefront, the AAC is poised to provide a robust alternative in the upcoming elections.

Oberiafo Udoh is now set to be faced by Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party and Philip Shuaib of the PDP, both of whom have emerged victorious in their respective party primaries. The competition promises to be intense, but the AAC is confident in Udoh’s capabilities and the party’s unwavering commitment to a transparent and people-centric governance agenda.
